JEAN DAYANTIS HOME PAGE Curriculum Vitae. Born in Cairo (Egypt) in February 1935. Son of Périclès and Olga born Pappas. Came in France at the age of seventeen after graduating from the Greek gymnasium "Abet School" in Cairo. Greek citizen, then French since 1972 through naturalization. Bachelor. Research worker at the "Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) from 1962 to the date of retirement in January 1999. Worked first in Strasbourg, Centre de Recherches sur les Macromolécules-Institut Charles Sadron, France, until 1996, and then in the Laboratoire des Verres, Université des Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc, Montpellier, France. When in Montpellier worked often in the laboratory of Pr M.J.M. Abadie. Languages: French, English, Greek. Ph.D in Science: Institut Charles Sadron, Strasbourg 1967. Ph.D. in History, Université Paul Valéry-Montpellier III, 2004. Main works are given in the next pages.
